Purpose: Conduct installation, preventive maintenance, repair and testing of microwave, related multiplex systems, LAN/WAN equipment, SAT, TV, and CCTV systems, check the performance of equipment on site and participate in the investigation of operational problems. Principal Accountabilities: 1. Ensures that maintenance procedures are adhered to, making recommendations for revision of such procedures, and complete all necessary documentation to facilitate work and update records. 2. Conducts a comprehensive corrective and preventive maintenance program on all specified equipment and ensure their availability in accordance with Company operational requirements. Specified faulty items are sent to ITTN for repair with appropriate documentation. 3. Conducts corrective maintenance programs in accordance with Company standards and procedures perform testing and tuning of equipment using a variety of tools at the site work-shop. 4. Participate in the installation, connection and tuning of microwave and LOS equipment including PCM system, antenna data transmission equipment, LAN/WAN equipment, SAT, TV. Receiving equipment and CCTV equipment at a variety of locations in Zakum field, determining the best position of radio set and antenna. 5. Use test equipment to check whether equipment is operating within specifications and take corrective action (which includes re-tuning, re-wiring, repairing damaged cables and replacing faulty components). After replacing the equipment, the faulty one is sent to ITTN –LAB for repair. 6. Maintain a record of all tools and test equipment utilized and ensure their availability by accurate checks and ensure their accuracy by periodically sending them to ITTN for calibration as recommended by the manufacturer and agreed with ITTN. 7. Investigates causes of defective operation of systems and equipment and recommend modifications to equipment or operational conditions, and discuss solutions with the Telecom Engineer.
