| Job Description |
Supervise and coordinates activities of workers engaged in building wooden finishing items. Examines blueprints to determine dimensions of structure. Can read, interpret, and implement structural architectural drawings. Selects materials and structure units. Determines sequence of activities concerned with fabrication, assembly, and finishing wooden items. Can create own Project Life Cycle as far as fabrication, assembly and erection or installation of structure is concern. Assigns workers to such tasks as cutting material size, fabrication wooden items. Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment. Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product. Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew. Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems. Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals. Maintains time and production records. Estimates, requisitions and inspects materials. Sets up machine and equipment. Performs activities of workers supervised. |
