| Job Description/ Responsibilities |
Our Client, a reputable international contractor, is recruiting Senior Quantity Surveyors for several prestigious building projects in Dubai and Qatar. Your experience in Quantity Surveying, cost and commercial management will have been gained over the last 5 to 10 years on large-scale residential and commercial building projects. Working experience and knowledge of commercial conditions in the Gulf is essential. Reporting to the Contract Administrator on a prestigious building project, you will be responsible for administrating the commercial activities related to major sub-contractors including procurement evaluation, finalisation and recommendation, interim and final account payments, sub-contract variations and negotiations, cost forecasting, commercial and contractual correspondence. Your commercial acumen and experience will be required to protect the company’s rights under the sub-contracts. As a key member of the project management team, you should be a clear and competent communicator, both written and verbal, be diplomatic yet resourceful, be an effective but hard negotiator, posses management and people skills, and able to operate effectively within a multi-racial commercial team in excess of 10 people. To qualify for this role you should be QS trained with at least 8 years post-qualification commercial experience in cost and commercial management through the tender and construction stages of multi-discipline building projects. |
