Description: General Manager – Middle East

Bahrain/Qatar



Our client, a large European transport and heavy goods rental company is looking to recruit a General Manager for its joint venture company to be based in either Bahrain or Qatar.



Reporting directly to the CEO, the successful candidate will be responsible for the Group’s P&L performance and safety strategy in the region. He will be expected to create a regional management team and assure its proper functioning as well as to develop business in the region.



Our client is looking for a strategically focussed GM who will continue the growth of the company and bring in a higher people management and organisational skills to the joint venture. He should also be astute in finance and commercial management and be able to implement changes and better quality methodologies into the company for further expansion in the region.



Applicants should be educated to degree level in an engineering/construction or related discipline (or equivalent through experience). The ideal candidate will have previous relevant experience in a management position with P&L responsibility. A history of working in the Middle East is also a requirement.
