Responsibilities
Description Is responsible for the definition and organization of the inspection of equipment in his area as prescribed by Plant and Maintenance Strategy, National laws, EQUATE Policies. Equipment concerned: Pressure Vessels, Boilers, Heat- exchangers, Piping, Storage tanks, Safety relief devices. Responsibilities • Authorizes and sets up inspection plans for each type of equipment according the Facility and Equipment Maintenance Strategy and Reliability Engineering priorities and investigations. • Coordinates ECM activities in own discipline. • Details the inspection plans based on RBI / RCM studies and methodologies and MET. • Ensures inspection plans include: • All necessary measurements for determination of the condition. • All PPM checks and controls • Ensures inspection plans are adequately integrated in the Maintenance Job plans. • Ensures ECM’s follow up with the execution of inspection plans based on RBI / RCM methodologies in the EMWP ‘Do Maint’ step. Advises and helps the Maintenance Job Rep/ Work coordinator and contractors in the ‘Do Maint’ when or where expert involvement is needed. • Reports all deviations, non compliance on Strategy, Codes, Standards, Laws, policies etc. • Reports trends in condition, repair of equipment such as: MTBF, MTTR, Rest-life time. • Assesses the condition of equipment for the required uninterrupted period of operation • In conjunction with the Operation leader and the Maintenance leader defines actions to assure the inspection program and technical integrity issues short and long term needing leaders attention and actions. • Reports the technical actions to be taken if the requested period of operation is not attainable such as: Planned repairs, spare material, modifications, replacements etc. • Reports the technical actions to be taken at the next inspection such as: Planned repairs, spare material, modifications, replacements etc. • Contributes to the technical content of service contracts on Mechanical integrity, such as Safety Valve and Valve repair, Piping, Vessels repair, NDT, Inspection Services. • Prepares scope of work for Mechanical integrity services and overhauls for Maintenance and Turn Around maintenance. Qualification: • 10 years experience in petrochemicals plants in pressure vessel and piping. • At least level II in five NDT methods • AWS or CSWIP certified • Hold Pressure vessel, piping, tanks certifications • Knowledge (Employee knows/understands) & Skills (Employee is able to) Description certified as API authorized inspector to sustain equipment operation and perform repair, alteration. Also able to conduct fitness for service assessment as per API guide lines Minimum Education Mechanical engineer Skills NDT, welding, API inspector Previous experience 10 year experience in petrochemicals in pressure vessels, piping, valves, & welding
